2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps, also known as 2 Chainz, is a hip hop artist and rapper from America. Georgia native, he started his career in hip-hop through Playaz Circle, which he formed along with a high school friend. Their first album, titled Supply & Demand", was a disappointing success. Epps then followed it up with 'Based on an T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It was a huge hit and debuted at the top spot on US Billboard 200. Within the first week of release, it was sold out in 147,000 copies! The success of this album has made him a household name and he swiftly rose to the top of the hip-hop scene in America. He has been nominated for six Grammy Awards to date. One of those Grammys was awarded to his track "No Problem". In 2013, he caused controversy when he was caught with marijuana and promethazine onboard a departure flight from Los Angeles International Airport. However, his encounters with the law haven’t affected his popularity. The latest album of his studiocalled 'Pretty Girls Like Trap Music was released in June 2017. "Based on a T.R.U. Story', the first studio album by 2 Chainz, can be regarded as his debut album and also his most successful one. The album was a great success. It reached the top of the US Billboard 200 and sold 147,000 copies in less than a week. The album sold 623,000 copies over one year. The album was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album' at the 55th Grammy Awards. The majority of reviews were negative. 2 Chainz wed Kesha Ward in 2013. The couple have three children together, Heaven, Harmony, Halo. He is well-known for his bad behavior and his successful career. He has been arrested several times for possession of drugs.
